Passive Fire Protection Products.

Passive fire protection is an integral part
of building design. Its primary purpose being to prevent the spread of
fire from its source, to prolong the structural stability  of a
building and in doing so allow for the safe evacuation of people.

At Mandoval Vermiculite cc building
contractors, electrical and plumbing contractors are able to source a
comprehensive range of Passive fire protection products that meet the
requirements of the National building regulation 0400 section T.

Structural fire protection

Steel loses its structural strength at around 550° c in commercial building and at 427° c in Petrochemical plants.
In
order to prolong this failure limit fire proofing materials are
applied and dependant on the architectural requirements, plant
environment and specified fire rating.

Vermiculite as a growing medium

Vermiculite is an excellent growing medium and could be used in combination with peat, bark or coir.

The presence of vermiculite particles in the
growing medium aerates the soil and improves moisture retention,
improving the surface tension of the growing medium. It increases the
release of nutrients to the plants. Vermiculite stimulates root growth,
which results in healthy young plants.

Exfoliate vermiculite could be used as a packing material for storing bulbs, fruit and tubers.
