The company was set up in May 2007.



The company is a cottage industry and although I employ outworkers for the knitwear, I sew all the toys myself. The workshop is based near Tregaron, Wales. Wherever possible I use recycled wool and fabric, both of which are tested so that they comply with CE standards (BS EN71). I also promote local industry and use as many local suppliers as I am able.

The toys are designed and created by myself (Kate Murray) and as I suffer from allergies I have specifically designed some toys suitable for fellow sufferers. The hypo-allergenic fabric I use on such toys as the traditional teddy and pig, was originally designed for use in baby clothes and romper suits. As such it appears to be the best for any child who wants a fur fabric toy (the fabric has a very short pile, making it feel like an incredibly soft velvet). I also use a lot of fleece which has not got a pile, and does not shed. All fur fabric sheds as the toy grows older, even the more modern ones, consequently I would advise that you choose a hypo-allergenic or fleece fabric for a child who suffers from allergies. If there is a design that you would like, advertised in fur fabric (for example the unicorn), which you would like in fleece or hypo-allergenic fabric then please contact me and I will accommodate your wishes at no extra cost.



All the stuffing I use is hypo-allergenic and meets CE standards.



If you require a special, unique toy, for example to look like a particular animal or with added sensory attributes (different textures) then please contact me. The company will take commissions for one-off toys.
