China National Coal Group Corp., or ChinaCoal (China National Coal Industry Import and Export (Group) Corp. (CNCIEC))

China National Coal Industry Import and Export (Group) Corp.("CNCIEC") was established in July 1982 as a national company. Approved by the State Council, its business is international trade and economic cooperation within the coal sector.

CNCIEC trades coal nationally and is a major force in global markets. It is responsible for the import and export of coal mining equipment and minerals. Moreover, it is responsible for project engineering, technological consultation, joint ventures, production trade, and transshipment, international contracting and labor export.

CNCIEC was reorganized in 1999, with new, progressive leadership. There are now 86 direct subsidiaries( among which, 33 fully owned companies, 7 branches, 2 representative offices, 12 partially owned companies, 6 overseas branches, 3 fully owned overseas companies and 2 partially owned companies in the group corp., and it also has several business departments in the head office. The total assets of the corp. are RMB 18.4 billion.
