DSME UTech Co., Ltd. was founded in April 2001 based on lots of experience with respect to the underwater vehicles and instruments such as AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle), side scan sonars, and underwater multi-directional cameras.

As we all acknowledge the prospective potential of the ocean is being sharply increased along with the techn
ical developments to understand the ocean. Recently, a new territorial concept for the ocean urges the oceanic nations to try to draw a boundary on the ocean such as the EEZ to secure and procure the marine resources. The Korea, as an oceanic peninsula country, also prepared a long term plan 'Ocean Korea 21' in May 2000.
