Sometech was established in 1989 with the name of MIKKY Co. and has extended its bus
iness area to the world with mottos 'pioneering sprit to open up a new market', 'creative mind to lead high technology' and 'reliance for creating moral business culture' for 13 years. Sometech challenged bravely to vision system field, which had mostly depended on the imported goods, and we succeeded in producing our own products in 1997 for the first time in Korea. The localization gained considerable replacement effect instead of importing products and paved way for us to become the world best company as exporting shares 30% of our annual turnover.

Contrary to other companies that produce camera systems of limited a
pplications, Sometech has been producing 14 medical camera systems that cover almost whole medical field, 3 cosmetic camera systems and 5 Industrial camera systems. Furthermore, Sometech's high frequency surgical unit, tele-medicine system, digital X-ray system for dentists and six professional software applications have broadened our business area. As the result of constant efforts, Sometech awarded as 'promising Venture Company by Small & Medium Enterprise Administration of Korean government and as 'promising company' by Kookmin bank (the biggest bank in Korea) in year 2000. In June 2001, Sometech gained certificates of international quality standard ISO9001, ISO13485 and EN46001. In November 2001, Sometech recived an award for exporting of one million dollars by Korea Foreign Trade Association and applied to KOSDAQ to go public in March 2002 for the first time in this industry in Korea.
