Having started as Yewon Engineering in July 1994 and incorporated as Yewon Tech in October 1997, Yewon Tech possesses core technologies in two areas: ultra precision technology which can be applied in the manufacturing of air bearing spindles, the essential components for the machinery for wafers and printed circuit boards; and aero-dynamic bearings, or next-generation high speed rotation system for HDD, LBP and copy machines, etc.
Yewon's Air Bearing Spindle is an
alternative to traditional ball bearing spindle. Having 1-micron high-precision spindle with high-speed 40,000~180,000 rpm, Yewon's Spindle has shown close to zero friction, heat, noise, and vibration. Thus, this Spindle is used for wafer processing of semiconductors, medical machines, electronic inspection equipment and high-precision processing usage.
Our second core
product, Aero Dynamic Bearing, uses the self-produced air system between revolution of motor shaft and relative motion of housing. It is used in the high-precision small motor of HDD (Hard Disc Drive), LBP (Laser Beam Printer), color printer, scanner, CD- ROM, and DVD, etc.
The majority of our shareholders are the participants of our technology development and most of
them are senior scientists active in science and technology R&D field such as KAIST (Korea Advanced Institutes of Science and Technology) and other research labs located in the Daeduck Research Complex.
Our position in the industry is relatively
competitive at global level. Yewon is strong in the technical competence anywhere in the world, and our products have the highest quality available in the world market. Our production cost is much lower than the market price.
