The Ceres Fruit Juices story begins in 1923 - the company was first established under the name Ceres Fruit Growers. Not only did we grow into one of the largest fruit packing operations in the world, but we've also grown into South Africa's leading fruit juice company which lead to other investors taking up shares in the fruit juice division.
In 1986, we established the Ceres Fruit Juices Company with the merger of LiquiFruit and Fruitree with Ceres. Since then, our company has grown from strength to strength and has won many prestigious food and beverage awards around the world, including the American Tasting Award of Excellence.
Since the early 1980's, Ceres Fruit Juices has been successfully exporting its brands to a number of international markets. Currently we are exporting to more than 80 destinations in Africa, Europe, the Far East, Middle East, Asia and North America. Through careful planning, potential new markets are constantly evaluated for long-term sustainable growth and commercial viability.
Our brands are firmly rooted in the South African market and of indisputably high quality. They are aimed at different market segments covering from premium to every day drinks, offering added value with both basic flavors and exotic blends
Our brands can be packed for export in a variety of packaging formats and international label permutations, if volumes justify, to suit language and legal requirements in most countries.
Our export products are either palletized or hand packed into containers and shipped from state-of-the-art distribution and warehouse facilities at our factory in Ceres via the Cape Town port. The long shelf life ensures that the product reaches consumers at their destinations well within the product's marketable life span.
