Fortune International was first operated in 1998 in South China work on Quality Control assignment for a major U. S. furniture importer. The company was set up by Tony Chou, an ex-executive of then Universal Furniture who has vast working experience in both Taiwan and Singapore. In 1986 Tony personally worked export projects for Maruni Co., Ltd. And Kosuga Furniture in Taiwan for Japan market.
Following the improvement of infrastructure and the encouragement of individual enterprises by the Chinese Authority, manufacture of furniture industry grew rapidly in China over the past decade. To enjoy the privilege of fine craftsmanship of the Chinese workers and yet at low production costs, Fortune International set up its headquarter in Hong Kong, an international trade port in the year 2000 and then an operational centre in Shanghai in 2001, C-TEX Company Limited, a subsidiary company registered in Hong Kong in 2002, to deal with export and quality control of fabric products in all categorized
As time goes by, we receive enquiries from worldwide on our product services, which do not limit to wooden furniture. Our services expand to the sourcing and export of furniture for contract and household furniture industry made from the combination of wood, leather, fabrics, steel, stone and rattan. In Asia, the Household Furniture Division of Mitsubishi Corporation appointed us to be the sole purchasing agent in China in 2001, the company involved deeply in product development and QC for shipment to Muji, , the leading retailers in Japan in both furniture and household products.
To assist our clients to explore the blooming furniture industry and the collateral businesses, we honestly serve them by selecting the best, bringing innovations in designs, conducting quality checks throughout the whole manufacturing process and providing after-sales services. With us as a bridge, the client does not need to worry about the communication problems with the Chinese manufacturers. In May of 2004, the company registered Fortune International (SH) Limited with capital RMB 10, 000, 000 and granted by the Chinese government with full-service license of import and export in June. Hence it made us a full-functioned home furnishing sourcing agent and QC service provider in China.
Finally, we are proud to say that we are a team of professionals of more than 63 in number. Our average age is 30 and 68. 3% of us are college graduates. Over 20 of us major in manufacturing of furniture, textiles or engineering.
