Al Hayek for Environmental Consultancy "HAYECON"
is an independent consultancy firm for environment and sustainability. The firm
aims at vitalizing the work on environment and sustainability where the
environmental performance and competitiveness of the enterprises, projects /
programs.

HAYECON areas of work include eco-efficiency (water and
energy efficiency); Strategic Environmental Assessment; Environmental Impact
Assessment; Water Demand Management; Environment Governance; Air Quality
Management; Hazardous Material Management; Integrated Solid Waste Management; and
Sustainable Tourism. In addition HAYECON is active in evaluating Projects and
Programs and in delivering training and capacity building activities.

HAYECON is owned and managed by Dr Bassam Hayek; it has undertaken studies for key development sectors such as water efficiency in agriculture, resource efficient and cleaner production in industries; water governance; energy and water efficiency in tourism; environmental assessment; and action plan for CDM services.
