Fionix offers a new solution for the optoelectronic components packaging marketplace with Silicon Optical Bench (SiOB) technologies. The silicon optical bench technology enables the automation of fiber optic components packaging and the integration of multiple functions onto a single silicon platform.

Fionix is specializing on the manufacturi
ng of silicon optical benches and silicon V-groove chips. Fionix has proprietary silicon optical bench fabrication techniques that differentiate them from the competitive products in positional accuracies among the alignment features for the placement and fixing of optic devices. We are extending our core technologies to build more complex silicon platforms for the single fiber bi-directional transceivers and VCSEL/PIN PD array transceiver modules.

Recently Fionix developed SOA based(semiconduc
tor optical amplifier) optical switch modules with a corporation of ETRI (Electronics & Telecommunications Research Institute) in South Korea. The unique feature of SOA switch is nano second order switching speed. Insertion loss (< 0 dB) and PDL (< 2.5 dB) were also minimized by using preamplifier and proprietary waveguide design technology.
