General Machinery Plant of Shengli Petroleum Administration was founded in 1964. The plant is engaged primarily in the design, manufacture, repairing, marketing and servicing of mechanical products for he petroleum industry. The plant lies in the Yellow River Delta, an area in the north of Shandong province bordering on Bohai Bay with favorable geographical situation, developed transportation and communication. With a history of nearly 40 years, the plant has been developed into one of the biggest petroleum machinery manufacturers of China.

There are strong technical power, advanced processes and the plant has a complete range of production facilities for steel casting, iron casting, finish casting, forging, heat treatment, electric plating, deep hole chrome plating, electroless Ni-Pplating, pressure vessels manufacturing, machining etc. Original fixed assets of the plant is about $16,220,000(RMB133,000,000 yuan), net value of $7,683,000 (RMB63,000,000 yuan) and there are more than 1,200 employees are working for the plant. The plants industrial estate occupies 710,000 m2 of land, including building area of 148,000m2.

The plant has distributed its products to most of the oilfields of China. After the sale of new equipment, servicemen are available to keep the equipment operating properly and profitably. Some of its products exported to foreign countries such as America, Peru, Turkmenistan etc. Its annual sales revenue is $48,780,000(RMB400,000,000yuan).

Main products include tubing and its coupling, pumping unit, sucker rod pump, wellhead and Christmas tree, production units for tertiary recovery, twin screw multiphase transport pump, pressure vessel, flow meters, automatic sewage filter, workover rig, solid paraffin control unit in oil well, downhole tolls, operation tools, etc.

In addition, the plant can repair petroleum machines such as pumping units, rigs, machine tools, internal combustion engines etc. It also manufactures standard components and parts such as wellhead valves, tubing elevators, sucker rod elevators, screws, springs, valve ball and seat, welding rod, etc.

The plant received licenses for manufacturing I and II kinds of pressure vessel in 1985. Its leading products received ISO9001 certificate in October, 1996. The plant was permitted to use API symbols in tubing and its couplings, sucker rod pumps, wellhead and Christmas trees and beam pumping units in January 2000, January 2001, January 2001 and October 2001 respectively.

With complete equipments, advanced technology, perfect measuring instruments and stable quality products, the plant becomes an enterprise of first-degree measuring certificate. The plant also gained quality management medals from Shandong province and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for many times. It has enjoyed high prestige in consumers for many years.
