Han-gwa (Korean Traditional Cookie), whose recipe was developed and handed down from the Korean court, is one of the Korean traditiona fermented foods. Han-gwa of Hapchon area boasts good taste resulting from the careful selection of non-polluted materials such as glutinous rice, sesame and peas, which are raised in the fertile land of Mt. Kaya.


Han-gwa is used at many kinds of feasts and also as a gift on Korean holidays. These days, children as well as old people enjoy han-gwa. Hapchon Traditional Han-gwa was awarded the prize at the 17th International Food Fair in 1994 and the gold prize at the 10th Europe Quality Certification in 1996.
