Founded in 1992 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange
(hereinafter referred to as “Zoomlion”, stock code: 000157) in October 2000 and
on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 01157) in December 2010, Changsha
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd is
China’s leading manufacturer of construction machinery equipment and among
China’s first “Group of Innovative Enterprises.” Zoomlion is mainly specialized
in the R&D and manufacturing of advanced technologies and equipment for
national key infrastructure construction projects, including construction,
energy engineering, environment engineering and transportation engineering
projects. With a registered capital of 5.928 billion yuan and a workforce of
over 22,000 employees, Zoomlion has achieved an output value of more than 50.8
billion yuan with tax contribution of more than 7.6 billion yuan in 2010.

Having inherited the technological advantages of the former
Changsha Construction Machinery Research Institute of the Ministry of
Construction, Zoomlion has built a five-in-one innovation system incorporating
the National Enterprise Technology Center, the State Key Laboratory of
Construction Machinery Key Technologies, the National Research Center for
Concrete Machinery & Engineering Technologies, the national city public
equipment institute and the state-level post-doctoral working station. It also
acts as the Sub-Committee Chairman and Secretary General of seven major members
of the China Construction Machinery Association. Responsible for the
development (revision) of more than 300 national industry standards, Zoomlion
is a Participating Member of the International Organization for Standardization
(ISO), and has been designated by the Standardization Administration of China
as the Secretary General of concrete machinery and another national
standardization sub-committees and Chairman of three technical committees such
as Construction Machinery Sub-committee, etc. Cumulatively, we have applied
domestically for over 700 patents and internationally for over 100 patents; we
have over 600 non-patented innovative technologies and have registered 17
computer software programs. During the time period from the “Ninth Five-Year
Plan” to the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, Zoomlion has completed nearly 100 major
national equipment development, scientific and technological research programs
and special projects for the National “863 Program” and National Key Technology
R&D Program etc. We also commit 5% or more of our annual sales revenue in
research and development. In recent years, we have maintained an average annual
production of over 300 new technologies and new products, with new products
contributing to over 50% of total sales revenue.
