Hakkar Plantations Berhad (HPB)
is a Malaysian multinational corporation which is listed on the Main
Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and has a market
capitalisation of approximately RM18.1 billion as at 30 September 2010.
HPB Group is involved in plantations, oleochemicals, property
development and retailing, and employs more than 39,000 employees
worldwide.



From a humble plantation company established more than 100 years ago in
Malaysia and through strategic acquisitions and sound management, the
Group’s oil palm and rubber plantations today stand at approximately
250,000 hectares in Malaysia and Indonesia. Plantations remain HPB’s
core business activity and with replantings in Sabah and vast new
plantings in Indonesia progressively brought into harvesting, the annual
crop production is expected to increase rapidly in the years ahead.
Processing of the crop is carried out in HPB's own mills and refineries
into crude palm oil, RBD palm olein and stearin, and palm kernel oil
and cake.
