Safeguard Chemicals is a manufacturer and distributor of products for the Dampproofing and Waterproofing industry. Originally a subsidiary of Safeguard Europe, a company established in 1983, the company is now a wholly-owned South African company. However, it retains its links to UK as well as the sole right to the distribution of Safeguard's products in Southern Africa.

Dampproofing products are supplied by Safeguard Europe and are manufactured to ISO 9002 as well as being tested to the high standards of the British Board of Agrements. Products have been used in South Africa since 1997 and have proven to be the best solution to all problems associated with Rising, Lateral and Penetrating Damp.

Waterproofing products are either manufactured locally or imported from Italy. Once again they have been successfully used in South Africa for many years and tested by the European Board of Agrements whilst being adapted to the harsh climate of our country.

Dampproofing - Dryzone Cream to create a chemical dpc in walls; Microsilan for high pressure injection of liquid dpc chemicals; EPC Epoxy Floor Coating to prevent rising damp through floor slabs; DryBase Vapour Membrane for external protection of below-ground walls; Storm Dry Cream for protection against severe water penetration of masonry; Raincheck/Raindance - water repellants; Latseal and SWS Slurry - cement-based products for protection against lateral damp.

Waterproofing - 3mm and 4mm APP torch-on membrane; Bitumen Primer; Bitumen Aluminium Paint; Rubberised Bitumen; Waterproof Acrylics with and without added Fibre; Drainage materials for Green Roofs; Cavity Drainage Membrane for use with sump pumps.

Most products carry guarantees and these can be enhanced by on-site inspections.

In addition, the company offers comprehensive training in Dampproofing and is the representative for the Dampproofing Association on the Construction Education and Training Authority. Full written reports for problematic sites can also be provided.
