Geotrans operates out of India
with its representative offices in the US, UK and Middle East. We are probably
one of the very few companies that have taken GIS to the next level with our
enterprise GIS solutions. Right from its inception the company has been
focusing on bringing GIS closer to people. We have a wide client base from
various domains ranging from the Department of Town and Country planning to
forest and from the Department of disaster management to tourism. Geotrans has
also been successful in bringing the benefits of GIS in its FIMS solution
(Facilities Information Management System). The first of its kind solution was
implemented in Technopark in Kerala after which there have been several enquiries
and orders in the FIMS vertical. Technopark is also the only CMM Level – 4 IT
park in the country.

Among the many first the
company pioneered the launch of the first Internet Map Server for the
Department of town and country planning. The company is also pioneering the
launch of its logistics solution for disaster management. Geotrans is a well-known
player in offering its GIS training program which it does in collaboration with
the Government of Kerala through KITTS.

The company’s growth in the
last 3 years has been in excess of 100% and it expects to accelerate the growth
in the next 3 years. A full fledges office is also slated to be in operation in
the Silcon vally, California by early 2011. The operations of the company are
managed by Mr. Sudeep. He has over 14 years of GIS experience. Sudeep is also a
management student from the prestigious XLRI, Jamshedpur. Other strategic
investors and promoters include Mr. Padmanabhan, retired GM of BHPV, Mr.
Sreenivas, Vice President, Former UTI Bank and Ms. Indira Mani a seasoned HR
professional.
