Garbage Concern Welfare
Society a 80G certified Trust under Mumbai Division NGO has been in the
forefront in bringing Environmental Education and Green Living Practices to the
students and citizens of Mumbai, Pune, Alibaug, Silvasa and Goa since 2005.

Its on-going programme “Be the Change” has involved 66 schools,
25 Colleges, 22 corporate clients including Sterlite Technologies, Vodafone,
Tata Power etc, 192 slum areas and 5 Municipal Corporations. Over 10,00,000
individuals have benefited through its awareness programmes, while over
1,00,000 individuals have taken steps at individual and social levels, to
ensure a better environment for our future generations.

Projects by Garbage Concern

1.      
Light-up- a- life- donate Rs. 80/- to
sponsor a solar lantern to provide eco-friendly, life-time light to a rural
family

2.      
 Garbage-2- Compost – Rs. 75/- to solve the
garbage problem of a slum family for life. A garbage converter will help keep
their surrounding clean and garbage free. Health and wealth for all.

3.      
Plant- a-life to green our Highways at
Rs. 65/- per plant for 3 years.

4.      
Garbage-n- Garden- G+G certificate
course- to train a school-drop in skill to preserve and conserve the
environment- at Rs. 100/- per student per session

5.      
 Clean
City Project- to empower fellow citizens to segregate garbage and take up
eco-friendly life styles- Rs. 200/- per session

6.      
Educere- Free school education for slum
children at Rs. 100/- per child

7.      
Meal –a- day to provide nutritious low
cost meals to slum and street children at Rs. 15/- meal with partnership with
SLUM based organizations and Balwadis.
