The home of DesertArrow Safari is Farafra Oasis. Close to the White Desert Farafra Oasis is the ideal location to start a tour into the western desert and its oases. Desert Arrow Safari is owned and operated by Khaled Ahmed and Leyla Gabriela Lory Ahmed. Khaled is Bedouin and was born and raised in the old town of Farafra Oasis. He is an English teacher in the local secondary school. Leyla was born and grew up in Switzerland. She travelled all over the world, visited a lot of deserts and decided to make Farafra Oasis in the heart of Egypt’s western desert her new home. The beauty and the diversity of the western desert are unique; you only drive a small distance and find yourself in a total different scenery, the ever changing landscape makes it to one of the most beautiful desert areas in the world. 

Desert Arrow Safari is the unique combination of Bedouin lifestyle and Swiss perfectionism. As a native Bedouin Khaled knows the desert and the Oases’ history very well and as his guest you will profit a lot from his knowledge.
