BROAD is a 100% Chinese private company established by Mr. Zhang Yue with USD3, 000.

 

In 1992 we developed China's first non-electric air conditioning and have become the world's largest manufacturer and seller since 1996. BROAD chillers (ranging from 6.6ton or 23kW to 3,307 ton or 11.63MW) can be driven by natural gas, diesel, biogas, exhaust from power generation, solar energy or any other waste heat over 95℃ or 203 ℉. We developed the world’s first exhaust chiller in 1999 which was installed at the Integration Test Laboratory of the US Department of Energy (DOE).

 

We developed world’s only micro gas air conditioning in 2002. The world’s first clean indoor unit, first self-cleaning air handler and first clean fresh air handler were developed by BROAD in 2005. For BROAD indoor units are equipped with electrostatic cleaners killing bacteria & dedusting tiny particles at 0.1 micron, with ultrasonic flow meters billing every client, with CO2 sensors checking oxygen level & preventing heart attack, with active carbon sheets trapping toxic gases like formaldehyde & benzene.

BROAD is the only manufacturer in the world that has obtained the complete certification for all of its products from competent bodies like UL, ETL, ASME, PED, CE markings (Gas Directive, LVD, EMC), German TUV ISO 9001 and Swiss SGS 14001…

It is known a mature tree can absorb 18.3kg or 40.3lb CO2 yearly. With BROAD products, the CO2 emission reduction equals four million tree planting which annotates the low-carbon Expo theme “Better City, Better Life”.

BROAD Group, world-renowned for its technological innovations, invented “BROAD Sustainable Building”(BSB) in 2009. It is a factory-made building. Compared with conventional buildings, it saves building materials and enhances energy efficiency several times, also enjoys a longer life. That is why it is termed “Sustainable Building”. In the past two years, BROAD built 9 building demos in China and Mexico, among which the 6-storey “Shanghai Expo BROAD Pavilion” built in one day and the 15-storey “New Ark Hotel” built in one week have attracted millions of netizens and triggered off heated discussions on many famous websites worldwide. On May 6, 2011, the 30-storey sustainable building passed smoothly the nation-class earthquake resistance test.

The BSB has all the features as follows:

(1) Level 9 earthquake resistance, highest in the world

(2) 6 times less materials(or 86% less materials)

(3) 5 times energy efficient (or 80% energy saving)

(4) 20 times air purification than outside air

(5) 1 % construction waste.
