Company Description
We are a fabless semiconductor company that designs, markets, and sells mixed signal integrated circuits for multiple digital video applications in the security surveillance industry.
Vineyard Technologies was the first company in the digital surveillance industry to develop System-on-Chip (SOC) solutions. SOC was a newly created term to describe a new system of integrating a number of chips onto a single chip. This new technology, the ability to maintain or upgrade entire complicated systems onto a single chip, enabled many significant changes to be made.
Our History
Located in Pleasanton, California, Vineyard Technologies was founded by Jun Kim in 2002. With a talented team of engineers experienced in developing CCTV silicon components and systems on-hand, Vineyard quickly began designing silicon devices. Vineyard achieved instant success with introduction of high-performance, low-cost single-chip solutions to the digital surveillance industry. The Company quickly developed a reputation for producing innovative and high-quality products, which stands to this day.
Vineyard released G1A, the first generation SOC (system on chip) for the DVR market, in December of 2002. More than one million G1A chips have been sold since. The Company enhanced the lineup with the Internet-ready G1P chip in March 2005, and the R1 9-channel solution in April 2006.
