BRIEF
HISTORY

• NTC-MPC is doing manpower, tolling and recycling business. It is
  currently into moulding and servicing contractual requirements of various
  manufacturers.


• Prior to this, NTC-MPC participated in environmental programs by
  actively  promoting educational
  awareness on plastic recycling by distributing flyers and conducting
  teach-in at schools and villages.


• On multi-partite level,
  NTC-MPC works with the (i) Department of       Science and Technology (DOST);
  Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) and (ii) other plastic manufacturers
  and users on recycling of plastic and reduction of plastic waste. One of
  which is the “Misyon PET” program.


• In 2001, “Misyon PET”
  was given international recognition by the World Bank Group (Environmental
  Monitor 2001) for its successful campaign on environmental awareness. The
  project (i) became an instrument bringing environmental awareness to the
  public; and also (ii) provided additional source of income to consumers as
  a whole.  


• NTC-MPC staff was also
  included as one of the 11-member delegate to represent the Philippines in
  a US study tour sponsored by the “United States - Asia Environment
  Partnership (USAEP) Exchange Program”.


• In line with this,
  NTC-MPC staff also participated as: (i) resource person with the Senate of
  the Philippines in the forum on “Household and Barangay Solid Waste
  Management and Recycling”; and (ii) co-author with CCBPI regarding the
  recycling project called “Misyon PET” in the 5^th Asia Pacific
  Round Table Regional Conference for Cleaner Production & Waste
  Management held on March 2004 at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur,
  Malaysia, of which NTC-MPC staff represented the Philippines and was invited
  as one of the guest speakers in the said conference.

  already into moulding and manufacturing of medium and big sizes of
  packaging product.
