Company Description

Dorner Mfg. Corp. (also commonly referred to as Dorner Conveyors) is a privately held company that designs, manufactures, and integrates conveyor systems for companies worldwide in a wide variety of industries. Formerly known as Dorner Tool & Die, Inc., the company patented the invention of the low profile conveyor in the 1970's.

The company was founded as Dorner Tool & Die, Inc. in 1965 in Hartland, Wisconsin as a tool and die shop. Two brothers, Wolfgang and Horst Dorner, founded the company. A third brother, Werner Dorner, serves as the current president and chief executive of the company.
In 2012, Dorner Mfg. Corp. announced a partnership with Incline Equity Partners.

Since the 1970's Dorner has expanded its line of conveyors from steel frames into a range of low profile, aluminum frame conveyor systems. According to reports from the company website, Dorner conveyors are used in over 1,200 different industry segments.

In 1995, the company formally changed its name to Dorner Mfg. Corp. On July 20, 2012, Dorner announced a partnership with Incline Equity Partners of Pittsburgh, PA. According to a quote from then-CEO Rich Ryan, the partnership with Incline Equity Partners allowed Dorner to "invest in or acquire the appropriate resources needed to better service our existing customers, as well as to support our growth into new product areas, end markets and geographies."

Following the unexpected passing of Ryan in 2012, the company announced in January 2013 that Terry Schadeberg, formerly of Nord Gear Corp., would assume the role of President and CEO.
