Company Description

Master Good Group operates in Northeast Hungary in the field of integrated feed production, poultry farming, incubation, broiler feeding, and processing. Hundred per cent of the Group belongs to the Bárány family.

The family have been involved in poultry production for four generations for 100 years, therefore, they are Hungaryâ??s oldest poultry producing dynasty. The first generation, who began the tradition, was the poultry supplier of the noble Széchenyi family. Commitment to the profession was passed from generation to generation and the present success of the Group is due to this heritage.

In the beginning, in 1994, the enterprise had five employees, then in 1998, a dynamic growth began which was fuelled by substantial investments and an increase in the staff. It was then that several of our poultry and broiler farms and feed mixing plants were established and integration was launched in the field of cultivation.

In order for us to identify the long-term goals of the development projects, we had to revise the existing structure and the available capacities, and take into consideration the European tendencies, too, because Hungaryâ??s accession to the European Union was approaching. Upon visiting a number of Western European poultry farms, we included among the development goals the introduction of the so-called free-range poultry raising in Hungary. The market of our products that are made in the frame of the Red Master Programme has been expanding since the launch of the programme in 2001.

Increasing competition and the ever-present market challenges called for the expansion of the Companyâ??s activities, and that served as the basis for the subsequent introduction of a full-scale poultry integration. In 2003, a poultry reprocessing plant was built. The year 2004 was a milestone in the Companyâ??s history: In February, the Petneháza plant was commissioned. In April, the Company purchased the bankrupt Hajdú-Bét Rtâ??s broiler division.
