Spalcoplast

N.V. Spalcoplast was founded in 1972



Our business objective was to produce and sell hard PVC profiles for the construction industry. In the beginning, these profiles were extruded using a single screw extruder in combination with PVC granulate supplied by Solvay. Later on, a switch was made to double screw extruders from Weber using our own lead stabilized dry blend (our own formula).



The weighing of the different components of this formula was done by an automated volumetric weighing machine with a very low margin of error (good gauge R&R). Some waxes and lubricants were manually added in order to become the optimal dry-blend.



Hard PVC powder + stabilizers + lubricants + titanium dioxide + chalk were blended with Papenmayer speed mixers and then transported to containers/silo's by an adapted transport system. The containers/silo's supplied the PVC dry-blend to several extruders.



Production was stopped in 2005 because of the following reasons: " Our operating licenses were expired and it was impossible to obtain new ones for the same location. " The age of the management members (>65 years old).



We are selling our complete production machine park and our more than 30 years know-how for the above reasons.
