OPTO-LEAP is designed to ensure the end-to-end optical path

availability for the optical fiber network, under power supply

failure condition. This is achieved via its intelligent optical

switch by sensing, availability of incoming DC supply,

providing optical signal by-pass switching under power

supply failure condition.



In normal operation, the switch is transparently incorporated

in the system by use of optical patch cords. In the event of

power failure the OPTO-LEAP automatically patches the

signals through on end-end basis. By deploying the OPTOLEAP in mission critical applications the end-end

communication is always available.
