TAREND specializes in the design and manufacturing of complete systems for the treatment, grading, packing and dehydration of fruits and vegetables, and PU Sandwich Panel Production Lines. With many satisfied customers in Turkey, Tarend provides complete solutions for its customers. Besides Turkish market, Tarend has been doing considerable business also in Middle East, North Africa and European countries.
Tarend was established in 1981, with the name of Tarimsan, as a family-owned company in Izmir, Turkey. It has manufactured mechanical sizers and packing systems, only for citrus fruit, in its earlier years.
In 1996, company has been changed from proprietorship to limited company and its name has changed to Tarend Ltd. From the day the company has been established, Tarend invested large amount of its income on Research and Development. The innovations and patents of Tarend are its competitive advantages among its competitors. By investing in R&D, Tarend has developed its product range and started to produce grading systems and packing lines also for apples, pears, tomatoes, cherries, grapes and for many other fruits. Tarend is the first and the only Turkish company that manufactures electronic graders that sort according to the size, color, weight, and defect.
Besides the packing lines for fresh fruit industry, Tarend also produces dehydration systems for all kinds of fruits and vegetables. With growing trend towards the use of dried fruit and vegetables, there is an increasing need for efficient drying systems.
