The past few years in the aftermath of the Asian economic turmoil in 1997 have been the time of trials and tribulations for Byucksan. Looking back at the last year, however, I feel very proud of what we achieved as a company.


I feel proud because Byucksan has succeeded in turning the business around to generate profit, after the restructuring
undertaken to stay competitive in the market that has become much more challenging than it was prior to the economic crisis.<

However, the environment surrounding us is changing everyday.

We cannot live tomorrow in the same way that we
overcame the crisis yesterday.

My biggest goal as a CEO is to make the company more attractive to investors by constan
tly adapting it to the ever-changing environment.

Byucksan has been known only as a company that produces quality con
struction materials so far, but we are now trying to renew ourselves as a "Solution Provider," that provides customized answers to our customers.

n addition, we have completely systemized our internal work process based on the intranet, which is enabled by state-of-the-art information technology, and now have a system in place to provided better service on the Internet.

In closing, I wou
