Ikebana Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (IEPL) is a Mumbai based company established in 1988 under Indian Companies Act 1956. In 1993, IEPL became active in commercial operations with exports of engineering goods. In 1998, realizing the growing demand for power and consequent potential for marketing accessories for power cables in India, IEPL embarked upon a program of organizing type-testing accessories manufactured by M/S Ikebana Engineering Ltd. Thailand, to international standards at Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) in Bangalore, India, which has a global recognition as a neutral test house. Since then, accessories for 12 kV, 17.5 kV, 24 kV and 36 kV have been type tested on behalf of Ikebana Engineering Ltd. and IEPL has been marketing these products in India as the sole distributors of Heat Shrinkable accessories for power cables manufactured by Ikebana Engineering Ltd., Thailand.

Commencing supply of Ikebana MV Termination kits in 1999 to Maharashtra State Ele
ctricity Board (MSEB), which in terms of capacity for power generation, transmission and distribution is the largest state owned power supply undertaking in India, IEPL has established a reputation for timely supply of quality cable accessories and providing engineering services to their clients which include MSEB and numerous electrical contractors in Mumbai, and all other major cities in Maharashtra like Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Nasik etc. who are engaged in providing HV electrical installations for MSEB and industries. IEPL has also been successful in the neighboring states of Karnataka, Gujarat and Goa.

IEPL has
been successful in getting approvals for Ikebana accessories in the major consulting firms and firms engaged in power distribution, of international repute such as UHDE India Ltd, Kvaerner Power Gas Ltd., L & T ECC, Siemens I. Ltd., Tata Consulting Engineers, Tata Power Co. Ltd., BSES etc.
