Optic Repeater is designed for increasing coverage and capacity in cellular PCS. The system consists of two products; Donor and Remote. Donor is installed in BTS and Remote is located at the Companion remote site where extra capacity and coverage are needed. Remote receives BTS signal via fiber-optic cable, then it converts the optic signal into RF signal. Fiber optic Repeater is the cost effective solution for offices, shopping mall and other radio shaded area. It can be classified according to the characteristic of surroundings
such as Single mode, Diversity and Multi-drop.
