Yucheng Futian Pharmacy Co., Ltd. was established in Yucheng, Shandong Province, China in March, 1993. In just over ten years time it has grown to become a comprehensive polyols producer, with an annual processing capacity of 13, 000 tons of xylose and 10, 000 tons of xylitol, plus eight other kinds of polyols.

Over US$65 million have been invested by the company to date, to ensure its R&D remains leading-edge, and its manufacturing processes utilize the latest technologies and innovations. It follows the principle that 'the human factor is the essential consideration in using advanced science and technology.
Futian has won many top awards from China's Ministry of Science, the Shandong provincial government as well as China's National Foodstuffs Industry including, Model Enterprise in China's Foodstuffs Industry, One of the Most Famous Brands in 20 Years Since Reform and the Opening to the World, A Model Enterprise in Terms of Quality and Economic Results in China's Food Industry, ' and 'Well-Known Brand of Shandong. ' In addition, it was the first in its field to receive all four prestigious certifications of ISO 9000, ISO14001, GMP and KOSHER.

It is currently the largest producer of Xylitol in China and the second largest producer in the world, with its products sold in more than 30 countries. Futian, by having its own import/export trading company, greatly expedites the latter operation.

At present, the company is increasing its corn polyols production line by an additional annual capacity of 30, 000 tons, to include 10, 000 tons of xylitol, 10, 000 tons of maltitol, and 10, 000 tons of sorbitol. This project was selected by the central government to be funded using government guarantees.
