Changzhou Aircraft Factory(CAF)

Changzhou Aircraft Factory(CAF) is a state-owned medium-sized enterprise affiliated to China Aviation Industry Corporation II(AVIC II). The factory is located in west suburb in Changzhou city,Jiangsu province,close to Shanghai-Nanjing Railway, Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, No.312 National Way and only 17 km to Changzhou Civil Airport. Such a good place is very convenient for transportation. CAF now has a small-sized airport with a concrete runway of 800m X 50m and complete equipment for small/light aircrafts and helicopters to take off and land.

The factory covers an area of 1,100,000 M2,including roofed area of 109,000 M2. CAF has 985 employees, including 268 technical persons engaged in aircraft design, aircraft manufacture, welding, material, nondestructive inspection, machinery, chemical machinery, electric control and inspection control. Among these technical persons,there are 34 senior engineers and 40 engineers. The factory has 882 sets of manufacture,inspection and test equipment including 483 sets of main equipment.

The main aero products of CAF are aero-extinguishers,CK drone aircrafts and ground effect aircrafts. The main non-aero products of CAF are pressure vessels, welded gas cylinders,special gas cylinders and civil nuclear pressure-bearing equipment. CAF can produce 1650 tons pressure vessels, 62,000 welded gas cylinder per year. The production and the sale of welded gas cylinders of CAF occupies 45 percent of the country market. CAF is the biggest production base for steel gas cylinders with highest output, great variety and fist quality in China. The products of CAF have won high praise from purchasers and are best sellers in domestic market as well as in the countries and regions such as Japan, Korea, Egypt, Iraq, Southeast Asia and Middle East.

CAF holds the Certificate for Designing & Manufacturing Pressure Vessels of Category I,II,III issued by State Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, the Production Certificate for Civil Nuclear Pressure-bearing Equipment issued by State Bureau of Nuclear Safety, the First-class Metrological Qualification issued by former State Bureau of Technical Supervidion and the Qualification for Third-class National Defense Metrological Service issued by National Defense Scientific and Technological Industry Committee, CAF has gained GB/T19001-1994(idt ISO9001:1994) Identification for Standard Quality System.
