Company Description
BATAM was initially a family owned company founded in 1988. The initial goal was to create the first distribution network in Tunisia specialised in household appliance and home craft. Our strategy proved to be adapted to consumers needs and expectations. Today we lead the Tunisian distribution sector with a network in constant evolution ( 111 stores at present).
The basis of our concept is to reach a wide range of consumers thru geographic location but also thru pric
ing; a fully computerised domestic organisation; a human resource management policy that privileges merit and initiative; a strict control over the quality of our service (certified ISO 9002); a strong communication and marketing strategy; have allowed a great and remarkable success and a real change in the Tunisian trade landscape.

icial structure. It is now a Limited company open to new shareholders listed on the Tunisian stock exchange since 1999.
r>Finally BATAM has committed itself to broaden its activities on the international scale. In this context, we tend first of all to contribute in the development of North Africa (Morocco ?Algeria ?Tunisia ?Libya - Egypt) followed by the whole African continent. Recent ventures include the opening of 5 BATAM stores in Morocco as well as a partnership with PROFURN a South-African group.
