Reedy Art is originally from Tang dynasty. Through generations, Chinese artists have changed it into a modern decorating art works by combining reedy handicraft, traditional Chinese art and contemporary aesthetics.

All decoration works we provide have two features as following:
(1) Environmental Friendly & Green: The raw material, reedy, come from the famous marsh area in north China stretches for 366 square kilometers. Reedy, the natural water plant, flourishes in the vast expanse of water, sprinkled with the white reed flowers, surrounded by goose, ducks, & fishes---a landscape of typical north China.
(2) Handmade: The working procedures are quite complicated, including material preparation (pickling, fuming, braising, rinsing and then cutting open, pressing, burning & perming ), material processing (cutting, dyeing, editing, carving), and then putting every parts together., all by handmade. The main tool is scissors.

For the purpose of showing the charm of Chinese Art, establishing the sense of environmental protection and giving pleasure and enjoyment to your life, we also provide Chinese Reedy Art DIY.
