Shanghai Medical Optical Instruments Factory (SMOIF)

Shanghai Medical Optical Instruments Factory (SMOIF) was founded in October, 1937, located in Min-Hang District, Shanghai,specializing in manufacturing three series of medical optical instruments: flexible endoscopes,rigid endoscopes and operation microscopes.

SMOIF is an advanced enterprise of its kind in China with the Largest production scale, the most sophisticated equipment and in particular the technology of manufacturing medical fiberscope which occupies first place in China. SMOIF is also the first to develop both flexible endoscopes and rigid endoscopes in China. Its medical endoscope shares 90% of the domestic market and some products have been exported to Europe,America,Middle-East,Southeast Asia and Africa.

There are 350 employees in SMOIF,10% of whom are the engineers who have rich experience and knowledge in endoscopes through the development and production for over 30 years and who are now making extensive research & development efforts for it. SMOIF has a nationwide network of distributors and several overseas sole agencies, providing quality repair and sales of the endoscopes and instruments of SMOIF.

SMOIF gained recognition for its quality and technology nationwide through acquiring the ISO9002 and CE Mark for the first time in the endoscopic line. By becoming a leading general manufacturer and distributor of medical optical instruments, SMOIF hopes to continue its success by contributing to the overall health and well being of mankind.
