Shendan Group is located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, so called the thousand-lakes Province. Subsidiaries of the group includes Hubei Shendan Healthy Food Co., Ltd. (joint venture with investor from New Zealand), Hubei Topigs Nongteng pigbreeding Co., Ltd. (joint venture with Dutch investor), and six production bases of egg products and processing bases.

Shendan is the first enterprise in China carrying on healthy egg production, its products are well sold in more than 20 provincial capital cities in the country. It contracted in succession with the famous international retialer giants of CARREFOUR, METRO and WAL-MART for nationwide chained sale. Its products ahve entered successfully into markets of Japan, Korea, Singapore, Russia and other countries.

Since 1970s, scientists in developed countries have endeavored to incorporate the nutrient disease-resistant substances into eggs by adding them to feed for poultry, and such eggs containing the nutrient disease-resistant substances have been named The Healthy Eggs.

Shendan is an enterprise that introduced the concept of Healthy Egg into China firstly and made it realized in the country firstly. Up to now it has developed successfully Iodine-contained Healthy Egg and Zinc-contained Healthy Egg, and done R&D on other nutrient disease-resistant substances that are necessary to human body, for which a number of the national patent applications have been filed, several of them granted.

By integrating traditional Chinese food processing methods with modern processing technology, Shendan has developed in succession an array of products, such as preserved quail egg, preserved duck egg with lead-ree technique, red-core salted duck egg and quail eggs, cooked salted duck eggs, cooked salted goose egg, salted duck's yolk, tea flavored egg, teaflavored quail egg, Boiled quail egg, etc.
