Unknown bentonite modified products in Korea till 1985, had been able to introduce for its industrial use by Sud Chemie Group, Germany based multinational company. Sud Chemie established Industrial Minerals of Korea Co., Ltd.(IMK) together with Korean shareholders in Kyongju which is key raw bentonite deposit area in Korea, in July, 1985. Since then our Bentonite has brought such a big development to Foundry and Civil Engineering Industry. Company has been also developed together with market growth and moved to Pohang with a bigger and modern plant, extending the business up to Paper and Animal Feed Industry now.
