Lab. Laser Surface Modification (LSM)

Lab. Laser Surface Modification(LSM) is a subjection of  State Key Laboratory of Corrosion and Protection, Institute of Metal Reaearch(IMR), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS).

Lab.LSM was founded by the Professor Weitao Wu.The Lab mainly takes up with the Corrosion and protection of metals by the high energy of lasers and Surface Harden & Repairing of Metals(SHRM). The mainly application area include Air-engine, nuke, automobile-engine, turbine disc and import gas turbine. The basic  research of application focus on the Chemical Milling(CM) of the holes superalloy of blades by laser drilling/ electro-discharge machine.
