Shu Brocade is a kind of completely handmade crafts. Among all the textiles of China, brocade ranks first for its complex craftsmanship and precious value. However, since historic times, ancient China had merely given rise to four brocades, i.e. Shu Brocade in Sichuan, Yun Brocade in Nanjing, Song Brocade in Suzhou, Zhuang Brocade in Guangxi Autonomous Region, among which Shu Brocade with the longest history has widely been regarded as the milestone in the course of the development of brocade. Shu Brocade won a reputation for its delicacy,  exquisiteness and rich colors. The reign of  Zhen'guan in Tang dynasty witnessed the appearance of Shu brocade with calligraphy, 'Foreword to Orchid Pavilion', taken as 'novelty' by the Emperor LiShiming and stored in the Palace.

The popularity of Shu Brocade is greatly associated wi
th its complicated craftsmanship. To finish a work, in terms of processes involved, will mainly experience the design of the pattern, patterning twining and base weaving, equipment of the pattern origin, weaving etc. Each of them has its own unique techniques. It is throughly made by hand. Its technic is very complicated . Normally,  it takes about one week to finish one article. We also can make them according to your pattern.
