Samyoung Chemical has many years' experience as a dedicated producer of films for packaging applications, having manufactured Korea's first packaging film back in 1973. Thus it is in a spirit of continued technical refinement that we embark upon the development and launch of new, high value-added packaging films that will compete successfully in the expanding world market.

Samyoung Chemical, in 1989, became the first in Korea and the fifth worldwide to develop a thi
n film for condenser application, and this development drew considerable attention from both the production industry and the global market. Moreover, on April 10, 2004 the company's new 60 billion plant in Dalian, China was officially completed. Thus the year 2004 marks the beginning of full-scale global management for Samyoung and will be starting point for a bright new future as an international corporation.

Currently in Korea, the Cheongju plant produces OPP film, film for condensers, film
for packaging wrap and synthetic papers, while the Gumi plant produces packs for milk packaging. In China, all the lines in the Dalian plant are dedicated to OPP film, film for condensers and film for packaging wrap, and are now fully operational. Products of superior quality have, and will continue to be, the key to increasing sales.
