Aberkatz

Aberkatz's shoes have the appearance of semiboots due to the gaiter inserted into the shoes with its lower end attached to the mid-sole while conventional semiboots have the upper end of the vamp on the heel heightened to reach beyond the ankle.  Except the lower end attached to the mid-sole, the gaiter is separated from the inside of the vamp.  

The gaiter is heightened to reach beyond the ankle, and surrounds the leg including the ankle using a
fastening means so as to do not slip down across the ankle.  The midsection of the gaiter is formed of tender material which surrounds the ankle flexibly and snugly to allow smooth motion of the ankle while reinforcement strips are attached to the outside of the gaiter to prevent the ankle bending and twisting excessively.

eful in particular for sports shoes and other shoes for the old and the weak because it allows not only preventing the ankle getting injured due to abrupt motion or impact but also allowing fully smooth motion of the ankle.
