In 1985, Dr Jurgen Klein and Ulrike Klein invested in land and laboratories in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia, having immigrated from Germany with their young family in 1983.  Jurlique`s Herb Farms in South Australia now produce 95% of the herbs and plants necessary for inclusion in Jurlique`s extensive skincare range.

y Jurlique was sold through health food stores and was relatively unknown in mainstream cosmetic industry in Australia.  Jurlique now supplies retail outlets worldwide with more than 20 Concept Stores Australia-wide, another 20 overseas and extensive distribution within the international Beauty Therapy, Department Store, Pharmacy and Health Food industries.
