Bluestar Si-metal project is located in Lanzhou China.The project is planned in 3 phases. First phase, by the end of May 2003 complete the rebuilding of furnace No. 1 into 25.5MVA Si-metal furnace. In addition to furnace No. 3-10MVA Si-metal furnacr which will result in a total Si-metal production of 30,000 tons per year. Second phase, in 2004 another 2x27MVA Si-metal furnace will be built and totalannual production can reach 50,000 tons. Third phase,in 2005-2006,4x27MVA furnaces will be constructed and gross annual production will ammount to 100,000 tons, which wll make Bluestar the biggest Si-metal producer in Asia. The transportation of Bluestar Si-metal plant is also very convenient,the product can be shipped to Tianjin Xingang harbor by Long-Hai railwa line.By exporting Si-metal,the plant can enjpy the preferential policy of levy exemption and reduction as well as tax rebate for export business.
