Black Fort Premium Lager Beer participated in the International Beer & cider competition,1999 organized by Off Lic
ense News, which took place at the International Food Exhibition 1999, in London. It is a matter of great pride that for the first time in the history of this competition any Indian Lager has won any medal. Overview

The
Liquor industry is regulated in India and manufacturing license is required to manufacture potable alcohol. No new licenses are being issued to manufacture potable alcohol from alcohol from molasses route after 1976 when issue of licenses for alcohol manufacture was frozen.
