Kum Ah Appliance Co., Ltd.

Since 1992, Kum Ah Appliance Co., Ltd. has been manufacturing electric blenders and juicers for domestic use. The company holds seven patents on its products and has been awarded the Q-mark for quality by the Korea Electric Testing Institute. Since 1998, the company has been exporting under its own Oscar brand name and on an OEM basis.

Originally established in 1974 as an electrical components manufacturer, Kum Ah
Appliance Co., Ltd. is a privately owned company with registered capital of US$200,000 and total investment of US$3 million. The company employs a workforce of 59, including 10 production engineers and 5 quality assurance staff, at its headquarters and factory near Busan. Annual revenue is around US$10 million, approximately 25 percent of which is accounted for by exports worldwide.
