Aluminium sulphate is used in
Purification of water,

Sizing of paper,
Water proofing & fire proofing of fabrics,
Tanning of white leather as a mordant in dyeing and print
ing
As deodorizer and decolorized in petroleum refining,
As precipitating agent in sewage treatment plants,
As w
ater proofing agent for concrete as clarification agent for oil and fat and in manufacture of lakes of colored pigment.
It
is used in foam type of fire extinguishers and for preparation of alums and other aluminum compounds.

Alpha plaster has specific uses in preparation of jigger moulds in the ceramic industry, as building blocks and part
ition wall, insulating board in building industry. In the field of structural decoration, Plaster of Paris is used in the formation of decorative friezes, coonics, columns and other decorative features in interior finishes. It is also used in certain smaller articles as furniture, clock frames and the like.

In the dental trade, plasters are used in the making of impress
ions for dentures, in lay and for the casting of metal filling, bridges, etc. Art moulding includes the making of a great variety of art objects and novelties formed by the casting of gold, silver and other non- ferrous metals in plaster of Paris investment moulds. Plaster of Paris also finds a considerable industrial potential in the forming of non-ferrous metal objects and mechanical parts by plaster of Paris investment moulds. Plaster of Paris is also required by artisans and for temporary structure construction used in the film industry.
