Company Description
UNA International Limited is a professional company specializing in R & D, producing various protective gear for the sports industry. Established in 1988, with its headquarters in Taiwan, UNA began as a producer of quality PU forming products.
In 1993, in order to stay ahead of the sports industry's increasing demand for production and pricing competition, UNA set up a factory in Fuzhou, China, significantly reducing operational costs and providing clients with more economical import strategies. In the same year, UNA applied for a patent of PU foaming technology and became the unique owner of a PU foaming process now widely used in the sports industry.
In 1994, capitalizing on the Chinese government's increasing offers of benefits and subsidies to business and manufacturing ventures in "opened cities", UNA decided to take another step in their development and move to Shenzhen. This area was designated to target the sports industry and related products such as helmets (BMX, town bicycle, skateboards, hockey) and other protective gear.
Following the extension of government policy to decentralize China's manufacturing resources and encouraged by the explosive growth in protective sports gear, UNA built a new factory in January 2002 located in Nanjin, China. This factory began operation on September 18th, 2003 under 4 the name of UNA International Ltd., with a total area of 10,000 square meters. This plant was established for the purpose of offering exclusive production for clients with full floor capacities and closed-door manufacturing floors.
Since 1994, UNA has been SEI certified with operational systems following the required Quality system for assurance on higher quality standard production implementation. Furthermore TUV certification was awarded to UNA the same year. These standards set a solid foundation for UNA's Quality Assurance.
