BACKGROUND

Tanzanians Initiative for The Society's Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation.&nb
sp; Here in after refereed to as {TISEPA} is an independent, non-partisan non-profit making and voluntary Non-Governmental organisation.

Tanzanians Initiative for The Society's  empowerment and Poverty alleviation is established
to address poverty by means of The Society's Empowerment particularly in the areas  where the societies are grossly marginalised both socially and economically.

Specific Objectives :

(i) To empower the Society undertake social
and economic activities that consequently make them a socially just and economically equitable societies.

(ii) To pro
vide Microfinancial access and subsidies to the Society.

(iii) To provide grants/subsidies to the grossly marginalised
groups of the society as an intervention before access to credit.

(iv)  Creation of Employment opportunitie
s.

(v) To provide education and training to the Society on income generating and business skills in order to improve t
heir ability to market their goods and develop businesses.

(vi) To provide education, training, capacity building and
consultancy services to the Society where need arises.

(vii) To mobilise savings among small and micro entrepreneurs s
o as to inculcate the discipline of saving then credit.

(viii) To sensitise the society to form their own groups as a
prerequisite for recognition as beneficiaries to the projects and programmes initiated.

(ix) To increase Women and Yo
uth access to credit and self-employment.

(x) To strengthen Women organisations / groups in order to build the capacit
y of Women to undertake sustainable economic activities and create an efficient and effective women leadership.

o improve business environment of small and medium enterprises through training, consultancy and advisory services.
